Well... no oven!

Talked to the building manager and there doesn't seem to be much hope for installing the oven in school. He's worried that toxic fumes will be emitted when melting the plastic and believes the power is too high and could blow up the school building... Oops...

We have done some research on the Precious Plastic website and forum and it shouldn't be dangerous because we would be melting the plastic and not burning it. Ms. Contreiras has looked into another option and the best thing seems to be ordering the three machines at the lowest price possible. Building them ourselves would take too much time and we don't have machines that can work with metal so it isn't very practical (Simeng spent two years on the shredder!). Buying them, however, needs approval and funding from the school principal so until then, we're a bit stuck :(
