June/July update

We set up our PlastISH GoFundMe page only two months ago and have already reached 31% of our goal! So much international support from not only the ISH community but also donors in the Netherlands, Spain and China has made PlastISH an even more meaningful project :)

It's been a while since our last update because we have been busy with our involvement in various events:

- The first ISH Green Day (21 June)

- The IBDP Year 12 Core Celebration evening (26 June)

- The Year 9 End-of-Year party with the theme "Zero Artificial Waste" (10 July)

For these occasions, we prepared interactive displays where visitors were able to use the plastic shredder and see the tiny pieces of shredded plastic bottles as the results. These were wonderful opportunities to raise awareness and spark interest, not only in our project but also considering the issue of plastic waste. Thank you to those who were there for coming and to the event organizers for letting PlastISH be a part of them!

In terms of the other three machines, the aim is to get them during the first semester of the next academic year. Further donations from the community and contributions from the ISH Parents Association and the business manager should be just the support that is needed to help make this possible!

Last but not least, take a look at our updated story on the GoFundMe page: We've added a description of each of the three machines together with pictures of possible products that could be created with them. If there is anything else you would like to see added, please let us know by sending an email to plastish@ishthehague.nl. We'd love to hear what you think!

Thank you to everyone for all your support and have a great summer vacation ahead!

SPECIAL MENTION: Since our last update, we would especially like to highlight the contribution of Josef D, Julie Demargne and Dirk Peeters - each of them donated €50! WOW!
